Wow, thank you so much for all of the support as I launched my blog earlier this week! It’s been so fun to read through comments and messages. I appreciate all of the support. It’s the end of the week and I figured I’d share a few of my favorite things from the last handful of days.
Willa’s First Ponytail
I have been waiting for this moment since I found out she was a girl! Willa has one little tuft of hair in the front of her head that is a little bit longer than the rest of her hair. It was not easy trying to hold all of those little hairs, but somehow I managed!
A New Lovey
I have been on a search for a lovey for Willa for a handful of months now. I knew the kind of look I was going for, but couldn’t quite find the right one. I came across The Colonial Corner and fell in love with all of their items.
You can personalize them with your child’s name, thread color, and even snap color. If you have a boy, I really like these lovey’s, also from The Colonial Corner.
Baptism
This last weekend some of my family got together at my parent’s house. We always have a great time and it’s so fun seeing everyone. Earlier in the week I had asked my dad if he would baptize me in the lake that they live on. The day before he had hurt his leg and we weren’t sure if he’d be able to walk in the lake, but he was able to and I’m so thankful and happy for that!
I shared why I decided to get baptized with everyone and I’d like to share that here too. “When I was in elementary school I went to camp and became a Christian, which means I asked Christ to forgive me of my sins and I began a relationship with Him. That relationship was me deciding I wanted Jesus to be apart of my everyday life. What I’ve learned overtime is that being a Christian doesn’t mean that there are certain rules and regulations that need to be followed or that doing enough good things will get me into heaven. My salvation was secured when I asked Jesus to forgive my sins. Choosing to walk with God every day has been the best decision of my life. In the Bible God shares His desire for Christians to be baptized as a public declaration of their faith. I believe that baptism is symbolizing my belief that Christ was crucified, buried, and risen as my savior. Today I’m choosing to get baptized because I want to follow God’s desire for my life and I also want to set example for the life I want my daughter to live.”
If you have any questions about my baptism, please send me an email at lifewithlismarie@gmail.com, I’d love to chat with you!
First Word
So this one is getting added in super last minute, but Willa said her first word!! Last night I was saying “mom” and “mama” to her and suddenly she says “mom” back to me! Ben and I have been going back and forth about what she would say first, and I really did think she’d say dada first, but she took me by surprise.
That’s all for this week. Thank you for checking out my blog! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I’ll see you guys back on here on Tuesday.
