I have to admit, I’m pretty sure Willa’s room is my favorite in our house. I absolutely love how it turned out. From the feature wall, the prettiest paint colors, her beautiful bed…I love it all! I love how girly it is without being over the top (in my opinion).

It took me a bit to figure out what to do on her walls. I was pretty confident in wanting to do some sort of feature wall, but her room was tricky to figure out. It definitely had to be on the wall with the window, it was the only one that made sense with door placement and such. The problem was that the window takes up such a large space on the wall that it limited the options of what we could do (most of the things would look silly). The only idea that I could think would work was shiplap, but I wasn’t in love with that idea. I kept seeing pictures of thin vertical boards, and while I loved the look, I just thought it wouldn’t look right with the window. Then it hit me, why not do the boards horizontally?! And I LOVE it! And the best part, it’s a super inexpensive project to do.

The feature wall is a Magnolia paint color, Ella Rose. It is the perfect shade of pink. The other three walls are painted Antique Rose, which is also a Magnolia paint color. When I was looking up paint colors, one of the reviews said that Antique Rose is an ivory with a blush undertone, which is totally true! It’s such a subtle color but is so gorgeous.
The beds in this room are my favorite! They are from DaVinci Baby and the collection is Jenny Lind. The sizes that we have are a mini crib and a toddler bed. Mini cribs are perfect for us as foster parents; it makes it easy to fit a few in a room and we can easily move it around depending on where the child will be sleeping (for example, if we have a really little one placed with us, we’ll move the mini crib into our room, but if the baby were to be older they’d stay with Willa). They also work really well instead of a bassinet. Little ones can fit in mini cribs for quite awhile (I know many that have stayed in theirs until they transitioned into a toddler bed!)
The bedding in this room is my favorite! It is from the Mini Wander and I was so excited when they came out with a mini crib sheet (the one negative of a mini crib is that it can be hard to find cute bedding). If you use the code Willa you can get 10% off of your order.
I got this dresser free from a friend. It definitely needed a lot of work but it turned out so nice. Just like the rest of her room, it’s painted a Magnolia color, Olive Grove. The hardware is from Hobby Lobby (it goes on sale for 50% off every other week, so definitely make sure you wait for a sale week to get it!)

I am obsessed with the floral banner hanging over her dresser! I had a shelf hanging up there with some decor on it, but I didn’t love the look. One day I was walking around Hobby Lobby and spotted this and knew it would be perfect for Willa’s room. (Unfortunately I can’t find it on the Hobby Lobby website, but if I happen to one day I will update this post. If you look for it in the store it is in the “Spring Shop” section.)

There you have it, our sweet Willa girl’s room. I took my time putting this room together, waiting to get the perfect vision for it. I’m so glad I did that because I absolutely love how it turned out.
